Kyle McSherry

OWNER/HEAD COACH OF CROSSFIT CURRAHEE
CF-L2 TRAINER
WORKING AGAINST GRAVITY CERTIFIED NUTRITION COACH

My fitness journey started in high school as a wrestler. When I went to college I picked up MMA for a few years. After that most of my exercise was done outdoors backpacking. A few years ago I found a love for Strongman & CrossFit. The initial goal was to be a functionally fit parent/husband, but through training I rediscovered my passion for competing and now train and professionally coach full time.
The only thing I can say I enjoy more than training, is coaching others in pursuit of their goals. I became a CrossFit Trainer so I could help others in their pursuit of health and fitness, or athletic development. My goal as a coach is to provide the best possible programming for everyone, whether their goal is to improve their health or if it's to be a competitive athlete. I want to see them succeed.

LeeAnn Bates

CF L2 TRAINER

I have been an avid “CrossFitter since 2012 in Hammond, LA. After seeing the positive changes CrossFit makes in people’s lives, I decided to pursue my passion by obtaining my Level 1 Trainer designation in July 2014 and my Level 2 Trainer designation in December 2018. I coached for eight years at a CrossFit in McComb, MS.

I’ve found that coaching is one of the most rewarding parts of CrossFit – helping others learn to love the sport is awesome. And coaching also helps me be a better CrossFitter myself. While I enjoy CrossFit classes and competitions - I also love to use my fitness to do other fun things! This includes obstacle course races, ultramarathons, riding in many different types of cycling events, and half ironman distance triathlons. Since I’ve moved to Toccoa, I’ve also added hiking and chasing waterfalls to my list! My favorite saying is “I don’t do CrossFit to get better at CrossFit, I do it to get better a life!”

In addition to being deeply involved with CrossFit, I am currently a licensed EMT in the states of Mississippi and Georgia; and co-owner of IOSIM, Inc. I hold a Bachelor of Music from The University of Southern Mississippi (1993), along with a Masters of Business Administration from USM (1995). My daughter, Madeline, currently lives in Gainesville, GA, and does international mission work through Adventures in Missions.

Zac Hogan

CF L1 TRAINER

I am a husband and father of two. I was born and raised in Toccoa, and I now serve the community as a Firefighter with the city of Toccoa.

I love how community can be built around fitness in all of its aspects: mind, body, and spirit. My love for CrossFit started about 5 years ago. Since then I have not only loved the health and physical benefits of CrossFit, but I am also passionate about its impact on mental health.

I recently developed the desire to become an instructor and completed ttraining for my Level 1. I  look forward to continued growth and the opportunity to serve such an amazing group of people.
